But here are the key facts we’ve gathered from their website:

- When you join, you get access to top tracks, exclusives, libraries, and playlists. BPM Supreme also offers personalized recommendations.
- You can follow your favorite artists, “favorite” top songs, and get notified as new releases arrive.
- Tracks come in multiple versions – instrumentals, a cappella tracks, radio edits, and the like.
- Their library includes top Open Format genres like pop, hip-hop, R&B, dance, and house. They also cover Latino genres like tropical, reggaeton, cumbia, and bachata.
- They have a built-in visual waveform mini-player and maxi-player for previewing tracks.
- Their advanced search feature lets you search by song title, artist, album, playlist, or even filter via key, genre, version, or bpm.

BPM Supreme works with over 80 partner labels to deliver one-shots, loops, FX, vocals, and other sounds. They have thousands of sample packs to choose from for an array of genres. Plans start at $0.99 per month.
- For artists. Unsigned artists can upload their music to BPM Supreme to have it played by DJs. You can set up an artist profile, and track your progress with analytics (impressions, plays, downloads). You must apply and be accepted into BPM Supreme’s Artist Network to be able to share your music with top DJs.
Overall
BPM Supreme has got a slick website. But they do make you work for your info. We get that attention spans are short, but sometimes too little website copy is just too little website copy.
This is fine for experienced DJs, but those just getting started may find themselves scratching their heads to get the kind of breakdown we’ve just offered.
That said, where BPM Supreme’s front end leaves something to be desired, the back end is where they truly shine. With simple navigation, solid search functionality, and high-quality tracks, they might just be worth writing home about yet.
You can download high-quality MP3s from their site (320 kbps) and export them to DJ software including Traktor, VirtualDJ, Serato, and Rekordbox.
BPM Supreme’s mobile apps are also supreme, and if you’re the type that feels inspiration coming on in the oddest of places – on the train, at the mall, by the river, etc. – you can pull up the app and start making your playlists on the spot.
Overall, BPM Supreme is considered one of the leading DJ record pools and is more than worth a look if you need access to more music.
ZIPDJ
ZIPDJ calls itself “the world’s best DJ pool” (you’ll find this a repeating theme among record pools). No, that doesn’t make them insecure at all.
It’s not all just hype, though, because ZIPDJ boasts:
- Advanced search functionality. You can search their database via artist, track, genre, key, bmp, and label.
- Large music selection. ZIPDJ specifically says “largest” though this point could likely be argued. That said, they do have over 400,000 tracks in over 60 genres. You’ll find pop, R&B, hip-hop, dance, house, Top 40, Latin, and the biggest electronic EDM catalog out there. ZIPDJ is said to be the best record pool for house music too.
- Curated playlists and packs. Don’t want to start from scratch? No problem. You can take advantage of curated playlists that are going to bring the sizzle to the dancefloor without all the worry.
- Unlimited downloads. Once you’ve joined, you get access to ZIPDJ’s entire library, and you can even start downloading from their catalog immediately.

Overall
With the biggest electronic catalog of any DJ record pool, ZIPDJ has got a portion of the record pool market on lock.
Their website is simple, sleek, and most importantly, easy to understand. Their navigation and search functions are also solid, and they continue to add new music discovery functionality to their platform to improve customer experience.
While ZIPDJ does not have a mobile app like BPM Supreme, their website is good enough that it’s not much of a detractor from the value they offer.

DJcity’s catalog is somewhat small, especially compared to other DJ record pools out there. Their electronic music selection is limited, and so is their back catalog. So, this is a factor you will want to balance alongside all others while shopping for the ideal DJ record pool.
Both the desktop and mobile versions of the DJcity app are nicely set up, with the ability to search via artist, track name, or genre, bpm, and key, as well as filters for version type (intro, clean and dirty versions, a cappella tracks, remixes).
Crate Connect

Overall
Crate Connect’s website is relatively basic, but as its walkthrough proves, its back end is on par with its competitors.
They’ve got solid search / filtering functionality, with the ability to sort by artist, title, genre, bpm, key signature, or song year.
In terms of exclusives, Crate Connect offers radio and club versions, remixes, and transitions. You can get everything as a high-quality 320 kbps MP3, but you can also get your tracks in WAV format, which may well factor into your plans.
As you may have noticed, Crate Connect does not have a mobile app specifically, but they do have Crate Connect Go for use with tablets and smartphones.
Some DJ record pools remove tracks from their website, but Crate Connect does not, which I honestly think is the smart way to do it. This makes it possible to find tracks that may have gone out of style long since. You can find material from the 70s onward.
MyMP3Pool
MyMP3Pool offers unlimited MP3 downloads for DJs. Their library features over 2.1 million tracks in 444 genres. Their key features include:

Digital DJ Pool calls itself the “world’s best” record pool and DJ network – a claim most record pools like to make in some way, shape, or form. Unique marketing, guys.

You can also promote your music on the Digital DJ Pool trending pages and charts.
Those interested in promotional services can get started with Digital DJ Pool for free, with access to a global DJ network, club and radio exposure, analytics, and feedback.
Overall
Digital DJ Pool’s library has 150,000 songs in over 40 genres. You can find multiple versions, song-mixing suggestions, and even DJ tools.
It is one of the few DJ record pools that has a built-in DJ social network, which means you can follow and interface with your favorite artists, DJs, and labels, and receive notifications when they’ve got something new.
Overall, Digital DJ Pool has a simple and easy-to-use user interface, a great search tool (note – the one downside is that different versions of tracks don’t always appear together), and perfectly tagged MP3 files.
Their mobile app is worth writing home about, with an equally superb search function. Building playlists on the go has scarcely been this fun.
Is Digital DJ Pool the right selection for you? Well, you only have to pay $1 (for five days of access) to find out. It might just be worth a look.
Direct Music Service
Digital Music Service has one of the funniest and weirdest consumer-facing websites we’ve ever seen – and that’s saying a lot, because we’ve seen a lot of websites.
Having landed on their site for the first time, you’re asked whether you’d like to enter or exit, with the disclaimer that if you enter, you’re acknowledging that you’re a professional DJ or industry professional.
Then, when you enter the site, you are promptly brought to their blog. I’m not saying people don’t want to visit your blog, Direct Music Service, but I have a feeling that’s not what they’re coming for when they first come to your site.
When you finally manage to navigate to the “join” page, the page does not scale horizontally properly (forcing you to scroll left to right), with what looks like an ad covering the right-hand side of the page (it follows you around too).
It seems Direct Music Service has received praise for its website in the past, but I think someone ought to tell them what I’m sharing here instead of buttering them up all the time. Even their signup forms look old…
Funny business aside, Direct Music Service is one of the most popular DJ record pools out there and is used by some of the top names (like DJ Jazzy Jeff) in the business too. Their genre selection is also impressive.
Their primary features include:
- Quality DJ edits. DJ-friendly intros, re-drums, short edits, hype edits, a cappella outs, DJ tools, samples, loops, transitions, and more.
- Mobile app. For Android or iOS. The mobile app syncs with Dropbox.
- Updated five days per week. Monday through Friday.

The Direct Music Service website is chock full of exclusive content, including edits and remixes you won’t be able to find anywhere else. Their genre selection is also expansive.
As noted, Direct Music Service has been around for a while, and its layout / design was in vogue somewhere around the turn of the millennium.
You do pay a premium for access to Direct Music Service, so you’d probably expect a little more in this regard. In case you’re wondering, their mobile app is of similar quality.
Some industry leaders still like Direct Music Service, and it’s understandable. Some people like sites with older designs, and some marketing experts would even say making money doesn’t have anything to do with slick design.
My only suggestion would be to cover the basics like mobile optimization.
Promo Only DJ Music Pool
Founded in 1992, Promo Only DJ Music Pool is one of the few destinations for DJs and VJs, and just as you would expect, you can get access to both audio and video content through their service.
Like Direct Music Service, their website is a little dated, and it makes you work for the information you need too.
Promo Only serves Top 40, country, urban, dance, modern rock, contemporary Christian, electronic, and Latin, among other genres. Their music files come in high-quality MP3 format, and their video files are broadcast quality. Files are tagged and include essential information like artist, title, bpm, and genre.

Promo Only offers many plans, and we can’t possibly cover them all here, but the following are some of their most popular:

Promo Only is certainly a unique service, thanks in part to the fact that it has been around since the early 90s. Those requiring audio and video content, however, may very much enjoy the benefits of membership.
Access to files is to be managed via their custom POOL application. It has a decent search function, along with three main tabs, including the “charts” tab with pre-curated playlists and weekly updated top 20 genre charts.
Promo Only may be well worth a look if you need video content for the types of events you’re putting on, but otherwise, you might want to explore the other options mentioned in this guide.
iDJPool
Like Direct Music Service, iDJPool forces you to agree to their terms before entering their site. Neat!
Their “DJ-only” service offers music for DJs of all types – radio, club, bar, mobile, mixshow, roller rink, ice skating rink, or other types of entertainers.
Their exclusive content includes remixes, edits, and re-drums.
iDJPool also boasts the following benefits:
- High quality MP3s. 320 kbps industry standard quality tagged MP3s. Files are compatible with popular DJ software, including Serato, VirtualDJ, and PCDJ.
- Unlimited downloads. Grab as much or as little as you need. Bulk downloading is also available.
- New music added daily. Along with the latest hits.

As a result, iDJPool also has one of the best back catalogs available, for birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, and more. If you need access to older tracks, this just might be the right place to look.

DJ Pool Records isn’t exactly set up to welcome new visitors to their site. At least they’ve got the latest updates on their homepage!
Like Promo Only, DJ Pool Records is one of the few services offering video content in addition to audio content.
Their track selection includes pop, club, hip-hop, reggaeton, and much more, and they appear to have a relatively developed Latin section too.
