Wow, WorldVision 113, the biggest for Saint Monkey yet. Hosting in Light City, the city of EDM, and a region where just about every street, landmark, town and mountain were named after music, it was no wonder it would put up a show. A lot of money was put towards the contest itself, and the entry itself, the song being described as a trip into your past by many.

Hosting was very special in Light City. New fans were made, street parties everywhere, even when the Lightning came, and it really did come. But that's life there, and the tourist loved it too, kept them on their feet. SMBS made it clear that WorldVision would hold dear to Saint Monkey and would continue participating for years to come. It also really helped the local economy, with all the artists performing in some sort of small scale arena, whether it be a drama centre, pub, or in the street, a lot of effort was put into helping the local community, just what Monsterdog wanted. Getting artists like Perdadores or Francesca Tanti to help out the local economy, and the local community, and let them experience the hospitality of Saint Monkeyians.

There was still a contest on however, and a prize to win. Sitting in 16th after the first half of the jury votes wasn't the best for Saint Monkey, sitting on only 18 points, after all the effort to try and get them at least on the left hand side, they were sitting on the right. Then the second half, 10 from MCG, 6 from Suurna and Aenglide and 7 from Robloxian Robloxia propelled Saint Monkey to 12th, which would be something Roberta and Maria would be happy about. The public vote:

"Saint Monkey, Maria, Roberta, you have received from the public...

62 points! Well done Maria & Roberta!"

62 points! Doesn't beat the points of 112, but better Televote, so at least the public was on their side. They rounded out at 12th, which was certainly something to be proud of.

WorldVision must go on, however. Before we know it, we'd be heading to Chiton, after they host bided again, this time successful. It's cute to see that the city that lost out with 2 points would be hosting this time, with different graphics, very creative and colourful.

In The Music for Saint Monkey, the international public were able to vote, and although Gotcha and Stopping Hunger were voted by the International Public, Saint Monkey had extra points to give out, and it was Jazz Box who would be heading to Chiton. The International Public gave Jazz Box a commendable 2nd, so it looks like the public may like this performance. With tough opponents such as MCG's Fakawi, and Gallicelestia's Eleanora, who was going to participate in WV113, but the terrible events of a terrorist attack postponed the participation of Eleanora. But she is sure to do well here, as is Fakawi, the host Beepee, and several others such as StrayaRoos's Zak, MUSA/ADAM and Laura Kottier, trying to get South Alezia's first win and Plangainer's Stefanie Feliciano.

After the NF, the percentages of votes were shown, for the Saint Monkey public, and it just showed how close it was.

This was the result: (SM Public)

1. Jazz Box (15%) (Final result: 1st - 74pts)
2. Sortie (13%) (Final result: 7th - 43pts)
3. Penny Cali (12%) (Final result: 3rd - 53pts)
4. Kate China (12%) (Final result: 5th - 47pts)
5. Beach Sunset (12%) (Final result: 6th - 44pts)
6. Joseph Pichimp (12%) (Final result: 8th - 39pts)
7. Gotcha (12%) (Final result: 2nd - 58pts)
8. David Parker and PIÑA (12%) (Final result: 4th - 47pts)

(All rounded to the nearest whole number)

For the full results click here.

This just shows how intensely close this edition of The Music for Saint Monkey was, and everyone was so tightly packed together. However, in a points system, the majority percentage matters most, and that helped propel Jazz Box to the top, even after Gotcha was in 1st after the International Public. But who are Jazz Box, and how did they get here?

Band Background

(All awards mentioned in Saint Monkey)
Jazz Box were formed in 2001 after David 'Hummingbird' Birch and Junior 'Sax Boi' Vermont met at a karaoke night in a pub.

They grew up together, after being adopted after being abandoned in an adoption centre. They both adopted by 2 different families living in Polopa, a town of 5,000. They grew up together but it wasn’t until 1977 when they became friends after David stood up to someone bullying Junior. Junior and David then discovered sax through an artist visiting the school, however they never managed to become artists.

They kept in contact, but David became a pilot, and Junior became a Beach Volleyball Coach, at the same time their dads were performing secretly in a country with a dictatorship. Junior helped win 3 Beach Volleyball titles for separate teams. David flew across the globe. In 1992, David and Junior joined the military as the 2nd Teriiblean War broke out. David became a fighter pilot, and Junior enlisted into the army. They lost contact until 2001.

In 2001, both coincidentally decided to return to their hometown, Polopa, they saw each other at a karaoke night in a pub there. David played the sax, and at that point, Junior and David decided to form a band, a choice that would change their lives forever.

There released a set of singles, in 2001, best one being “Time!” which got 3rd on the Domestic Charts. In 2002, they released their first album, “Bazz Jox”, which got the 2nd place on the Album of the Year Charts. In 2003, they went on their first tour in Saint Monkey, also releasing 68 songs that year, the best finisher “Lake” in 2nd on the Domestic Charts. It did well internationally too.

In 2004, Jazz Box released their second album “Bounce” which featured their first collaboration and new unique tracks. It finished in 3rd for the Album of the Year Charts. In 2005, Jazz Box went on their first international tour, visiting 10 countries. They then went on to release a new album, which finished 2nd on the Album of the Year Charts, named “Our World”. In 2006, Junior got married, and in 2007 David then did, causing them to take a bit of a break to enjoy married life. During this, they did still release music from time to time.

In 2008, Jazz Box released album “Just Move” which got 2nd Place in the Album of the Year Charts. They also began digging about their parents past this year. They went on another Saint Monkeyian tour this year too.

In 2009, they released 70 singles, but no album. They got 2nd on the Domestic charts twice, with the songs “Power” and “Never Alone”. This year they participated in the Banutang Song Festival, Saint Monkey’s biggest song festival, in 2009, and have been in every one since.

In January 2010, they released their next album, “BackGround” which finished 3rd in the Album of the Year Awards. In February, Junior had a daughter, and went on paternity leave, prompting a break from the band, except for the Banutang Song Festival. In 2011, there was a 10-year anniversary party of Jazz Box. David had a son in 2012, so he went on paternity leave too. They didn’t release another song until January 2013, when they made their grand return with the song “From The Underground”, which was about them finally finding their parents were secretly Jazz Stars in the 80s. It got Number 1 on the Saint Monkey charts and did really well on the international charts too, getting number 1s in several other countries.

This prompted them to make 2 albums that year, “Looking Up” and “Keep To The Beat”. “Looking Up” got 5th place in the Album of the Year charts, and “Keep To The Beat” got 2nd. “Keep To The Beat” featured DnB, Dubstep, Future Bass, Indie Dance and Traps songs mixed with Jazz, and won the Saint Monkey Music Award Prize for the most Unique Album. It is considered Jazz Box’s best album and was included in several labels, including Monsterdog Saint Monkey, who helped host WV113.

In 2014, they continued making music. They made a new album, which finished 2nd in the Album of the Year charts, and was called “To You”. In summer they went on an international tour, visiting 15 countries. In winter 2014, David and Junior and their families went on a ski trip, and David broke his back and was believed that he’d never walk again. He had a miracle recovery, and was good again in time for the Banutang Song Festival 2015.

In 2016, they released an album, “Back On My Feet” for David and weekly songs, which were produced in late 2014 by Junior. They got 2nd best on Album of the Year charts Saint Monkey once again.

In 2017, they released an April Fool’s Album, “The Greatest Rap Group In Polopa; Jazz Box” which was a bunch of Rap Songs by Jazz Box. This actually got the award for the most Unique Album 2017. David had a daughter soon after, and went on Paternity leave.

In 2018, Jazz Box released weekly once again, after David was keen to get a lot of songs out. 2 got in the top 10, “Us and Us Forever” and “Song Title Here”.

In 2019 Jazz Box went on tour to thousands of small towns and villages, and released 2 albums. “Around” and “Green” finishing 5th and 4th in the Album of the Year charts. When the pandemic hit, Jazz Box made their first bilingual songs and album, “Lingua”. It won the award for the Most Unique Album 2020 Saint Monkey. They were also commended for their work during the pandemic.

When international travel outside the Monkey Empire was still closed, Jazz Box had a massive tour in Saint Monkey in 2021. In late 2021 they also released an album, “Shouldn’t It Be Cold?”, their first Christmas songs that weren’t a cover. One of the songs, “Christmas Birthday” got 2nd on the Christmas charts.

Jazz Box had an international tour in 2022 after international travel outside the Monkey Empire was allowed again. They took a rest for the rest of 2022. In 2023, they participated in NationVision 6 in Madeloffu, Vonum, finishing 2nd. This got number 1 and so did 3 other songs in the 30 singles released by Jazz Box that year. The other number 1s were, “Our Town”, “Family” and “Dog”. They released a Christmas Album too in 2023, “ITS CHRISTMAS”, getting 11th in Album of the Year charts.

Recently, they were involved in the Opening Act for WV113. In 2024, they’ve released 7 singles, one of which being How Mighty, their 679th song ever released, heading to WorldVision.

The Music Video

Before The Music for Saint Monkey, the Music Video for How Mighty was filmed, in 5 different locations. A Jazz Club, in Saint Monkey City, the old town known for its' Jazz, and being named the Jazz City of Saint Monkey. The second, a 1 mile stretch of motorway near Polopa, Jazz Box's home town. Polopa 2nd School, where three kids were chosen to participate in the filming. Saint Monkey City hill, known for its' stunning view of the city, especially driving over the SM2 motorway, during the evening. Finally a Zero G-Flight, which was especially hard as you would only get little chance to film, and make a mistake, you'd have to go again, and pay even more money.

The filming was surprisingly quick. It took just over a week, and they got the tricky parts done first. The motorway had to be quick, as they'd only have 6 hours to do it, making sure traffic wouldn't be held up for long, and the zero g part actually worked well, as it was filmed in one shot. Although, they went again one more time for fun, who can blame em? They took extra special time with the rest of the shots, especially the kids and Polopa, as one had to "bully" the other, for the music video.

Overall it was put together, edited, and was completed soon enough. It began at the Jazz Club for the intro, then went to the 2nd School to the "bully" punching the other teen. Then the pre-chorus section jumped into the 0-G Flight. The chorus went to the motorway section, David and Junior standing on top of a car, with other cars beginning to follow. The How-How-Mighty section was at the Saint Monkey City hil, in the evening of course. The first section of the second verse the third teen stood up to the "bully" and then in the second section they weere in the Zero G plane again. The Pre-Chorus they were back at the Jazz Club.

The first half of the chorus the two teens started chasing the bully away. Then the second half they were back in the Zero-G Flight. For the Sax Solo it cuts back to the Jazz Club for the first half, then to the motorway, where pyrotechnics are spraying sparks. The last chorus section cuts between all the sections; the zero g, then the Jazz Club, then the motorway and finally a drone shot of the hill. The How-How Mighty section then goes to the school, then the motorway, and the final How-How Mighty section goes to the hill, where the lights of the skyscrapers can be seen after the sun finally sets. The YAAAAAA at the end cuts back to the Jazz Club, then Junior and David walk off stage.

Jazz Box @WorldVision

They say Jazz Box has done everything. They will have now.

How Mighty got to WorldVision after winning The Music for Saint Monkey. It was very tight in the international votes, but with some help from the Saint Monkeyian public, it was chosen to go to Chiton. After the contest, Jazz Box asked runner-up Gotcha (Robert Hapag) and third-placed Penny Cali to be their backup dancers. Penny accepted quickly, and Gotcha did reluctantly, although performing in WV113 as a interval act he didn’t dance and he needed to do a lot of dance practice, however after weeks of practice he has agreed that he will give it a go. Jazz Box says they're "very proud of him (Gotcha). He's a legend and we're gonna smash this competition!"

How Mighty is about people that try to put you down, and is simply "How Mighty, you're trying to put me down, well I am greater than this." It's saying that you a greater than the person that is bullying you and that you should never listen to them. It also says you can change from a bully, the line “The best person that I could be” references that Junior’s wife used to bully someone in school but them became a great person. When she was 32, she even hosted a party to say sorry to the person who was bullied.

David says, “I think this song speaks to everyone that has been bullied. You are not at fault, and you are the better person. The bully is the one that’s insecure, not you. Always remember that. But also remember that although they may be weak bullying, if they want help, give them it. That will show your real character. If you say no, you may go down to wrong path too.”

This song has also been a fighter for preventing bullying in Saint Monkey. Junior said “Bullying was terrible in the 70s. I heard a boy was literally blinded by a bully. Then Saint Monkey took massive steps, and in the 2000s bullying was stamped out. But then it came back recently. It has to be stopped for good.” Jazz Box hope this song will help achieve that.

“At the end of the day, this is supposed to be a song that is fun, and is about leaving the bad things away, and just smiling and enjoying yourself. We will be having the most fun on stage and we can’t wait, hopefully you can’t either!”

As the Saint Monkeyian team landed in Norfolk Pinewoods, they looked out in awe to the capital of Beepee. Jazz Box had never visited Beepee before, ready for a new experience. They spent a day out in Norfolk Pinewoods, experiencing the culture of the capital, who had previously hosted WorldVision in its’ 97th edition. Jazz Box tried the national dish of Beepee, Apple Cake, and after feeling the sensation of sweet Beepean apple on their tongues, they couldn’t have enough.

That evening the team took an overnight train to Chiton. As Jazz Box woke up, they saw the sun slowly rise above the skyscrapers of Catenham’s capital, Chiton. As they entered Chiton, they saw people head for their morning coffees and commute to work. Just at that point, David and Junior gave out a relaxing sigh, ready for what will come next.

Later that day, the WorldVision carpet opened. This gave a chance for the Saint Monkeyian delegate to get to know some of the other acts, answer some questions, and get into the WorldVision mood. In the evening, the rehearsal area for the Saint Monkey team were set up, and Jazz Box and the team discussed the performance, and staging.

The next day, Jazz Box went out to explore Chiton with their families. Getting to know the city that would be their home for the next week. Junior visited the national parks surrounding Chiton, feeling the sweet songs of birds, the rustle of leaves, and just to take a moment away from everything going on in Chiton. It was an incredible experience, a large contrast from the city. He also got some great photos of birds and the landscape, another hobby of his. Junior's wife also drew a lovely painting of a large tree in one of the national parks.

Penny and Gotcha created a challenge for themselves in the city, to set up a street performance. Paula Kish, Darius Khan and Bea Cabral rated the performances made by them, Penny won. David went across museums, discovering the history of what made this such a large city and what made the Uranium industry so large scale. He'd always been a nerd like that, but he was proud of it. He also payed a visit to the national parks surrounding Chiton, and had found a wonderful a little waterfall, having a picnic with his family.

The next day, Jazz Box created Jazz covers of other WorldVision Songs this edition. Urban Jungle, Ngalawa dyi, Until Daylight and Yo Lo Sé were all remixed in a Jazz version, later posted onto the WorldVision YouTube Channel.

That next week, the whole team enjoyed their time getting to know the other acts, explore all that Chiton has to offer and play sax in local pubs, and get to know other local stars. They even visited the Catenham State University to perform in front of students there, and to give a inspirational speech to those future WorldVision stars sitting there. They got the help from the students studying music for their next single.

In the rest of the time they had, the main focus was to practice for the event. Hours after hour, the deadline coming up, they then had the dress rehearsal and soon it was time for the actual event. In the busiest week of Jazz Box’s life, it was time to throw out the word busy, as when the contest arrives, it is more than busy. 3+ hours of insanity, here we go.

The night had begun quick, speeding through the first entries. David and Junior both agreed that Plangainer was the biggest contender to win so far. They also really enjoyed Carrelie's act. They would also be voting tonight after all, and can't vote for themselves anyways, so they better pick their favorites soon. Then just before the first interval, they were told to prepare, and headed backstage, took the final preparations, and before they knew it, they'd be out there.

Jazz Box and the team gave a high five to Tom Fullery as he stepped off stage, giving way for Jazz Box to ready up. The Postcard came up, and Gotcha, Penny, and the instrument players rushed onto stage. Penny is wearing a fedora a beige blazer and dark blue dress, similar to this, making her look like a nice, caring and loving person. Gotcha is wearing a leather jacket and ripped jeans, like this, giving the sense to the audience that he's a rebel, and is always getting into trouble. This tells us there's a story within the staging. The instrument players are in the background, wearing matching suits and ties, like this. Jazz Box picks up their Saxophones, they’re wearing matching outfits, these suits. Jazz Box are behind the widescreen LED, and can't be seen by the crowd.

The performance begins with traditional Saint Monkeyian Jazz symbols on all the LEDs, connecting with the unique jazz culture in Saint Monkey. The stage has stands for the instrument players, like this, on the right. However, this is not in the centre of the stage, but rather to the left of the stage, in the main stage area, just beside the crowd. It was originally planned to be on the rhombic area, but they wanted to whole arena to see the performance. It is also not in a circular shape, but in a rectangular one. The drum player was at the top, the trumpet player in the middle, and the piano at the bottom of the stands. The stand is parallel with the rhombus side. The Saint Monkeyian delegate tried doing a good job of making it feel like Saint Monkey, with traditional Saint Monkeyian curtains with traditional Chimpic patterns on it. It was positioned at the at the back of the stage, covering the curved widescreen LEDs for the beginning of the performance.

The song begins. On each chord played on the piano, red, yellow and orange light burst out from lights at the top of the stage. Junior and David are still not on the stage, as the intro is said. The widescreen LEDs at the back are still covered, but the LEDs on the floor change to white once the intro is said.

Good Evening, Ladies and Gentlemen, let's get up and dance
Chiton is awesome you are INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!!

As soon as the long sax note is played, Jazz Box stride on the stage, on both sides of it. The camera unveils to us a drone shot of Junior is playing his sax, and David, who has a huge grin on his face. They both have microphone earpieces. The curtains unveil themselves to uncover the widescreen LED. They walk up until the edge of the main stage, on both sides of the bridge to the Rhombus.

On the LEDs, shows a POV shot of a Saxophone moving, like this, but the saxophone is moving over sand dunes to reveal a large city. The floor LEDs transition to this art style, transforming the performance into another universe. The lights remain very warm, red, orange and yellow, staying similar to the colours of the Saint Monkeyian Jazz scene.

As David begins singing, the camera cuts to a medium shot of Gotcha air punching Penny, and she falls to the ground, just as David song “When their fists can solve the case”. It cuts back to David walking towards Gotcha, as Gotcha runs towards him. It has a quick cut to Junior riffing on the sax, looking directly at the camera. Penny begins dancing slowly, but still in tune. The audience can clearly see she is upset and scared. The T-section of the stage then turns blue, before the Pre-Chorus begins.

They think they're big but they're a disgrace
When their fists can solve the case
The world is different, we know that's true
We're all pushing through

Gotcha runs even faster towards David, but he stands his ground, and opens his legs. Gotcha slides under David. This shows you have to stand up against bullies. This reveals to the audience that you’re the strong one, not the bully. Penny suddenly stands up, and the LEDs where she is turn back to bright happy colours. Gotcha runs off stage.

At the same time, the curved widescreen LEDs uncover a city and zoom into it, and show a school. There are silhouettes being punched and kicked. The silhouettes build up and up, covering the widescreen LEDs in black, as the bully's become a shadow, creating a sense that we're leaving bullies behind, and enjoying the journey.

When they try to get in our way
We'll leave them and go to play!

The pyrotechnics burst out in the chorus sparks and fireworks, emitting across the EcoDome. Orange laser beams fill the bridges in the arena, coming from all directions. The widescreen LEDs explode with colours and little patterns, significant to Saint Monkey’s culture. This creates a shockwave across the arena, with the lights shining everywhere, and on the floor LEDs and the lighting. The arena Is suddenly filled with fun and life. The atmosphere is totally transformed, everyone in the Arena smiling and jumping along with the beat. A small fog machine creates a small haze in the arena, creating a further sense of a party. Everything on the stage mixes perfectly, the outfits, the LEDs, the song, creating an effect that this is another world, that the stage is another place to be.

Junior drops his sax, and David picks his up, and begins playing. The camera cuts to a group from the crowd from Saint Monkey, waving the Saint Monkey flag about. Then has a long shot of the whole scene erupting from the arena, all the atmosphere packed into once singular shot. Then a bird’s eye shot flies down from the top of the arena heading towards Junior who is running along the bridge, singing his heart out. His voice perfectly matching the tone and mood of the arena, a bright upbeat happy voice, making the crowd smile. A close up of David playing the sax shows as David spins around. The camera mimics that movement and also spins around. Penny skips past the camera, with a massive grin on her face.

Oh How Mighty! They want me to fight
Oh How Mighty, I'll just stay polite
Don't bother looking, cause I'll be outside
I’ll be cookin', they should know how great it is to be alive!

The next part is the bounciest of the track. The lyrics contrast the mood of the arena, showing that even though this happens, you should be happy and lucky you have the life you have. There’s always struggles, but there are still people way worse off. The lighting changes to include some white. The lights bounce up and down with the lyrics “How-How Mighty” are said. The LEDs emit circles of red orange yellow and white. The staging begins to return to something similar like this, as when Junior says "moon" that moon appears from the top of the widescreen LED.

The camera shakes slightly to follow the bouncy rhythm of this section. The camera shows Penny, Junior and David all jumping up and down. Junior continues to sing in his happy mood, and emits happiness across the arena. The camera cuts to the crowd jumping up and down to the beat of thee track. For this song it looks like everyone, from home, in the EcoDome, across the world are united and happy, showing what WorldVision can really do, and what music like this can do.

How-how-mighty, how-mighty, How-how-mighty, they're so weak
How-how-mighty, mighty till the moon is here

For the next scene, the mood suddenly changes, creating a very large contrast from what it was just a few seconds ago. The widescreen and main stage LEDs change into a dark red, creating a sense of mystery to the crowd, and why the change of mood so sudden. The moon is still there creating a shadow under it. There’s fog covering something, many of the audience going on their tip-toes wondering what it could be. Then it uncovers quickly, Gotcha on the floor, looking very sad, wearing a black t-shirt and trousers, and sitting cross-legged with his hand in his head. Penny comes over to Gotcha, and then picks him up on his shoulders. This gets a gasp from the audience, surprised she could carry him. The mood then begins to slowly fade back to what it was just before the pre-chorus, when Junior says "free".

The camera follows this, as it begins with a bird’s eye view over Gotcha, but he still cannot be seen. Then it cuts to Junior and David, walking backwards, pointing towards what is going over there. They’re walking out to the T-section but are pointing rampantly towards that. The camera cuts to Penny and Gotcha, and Penny picks Gotcha up. The fog leaves the stage.

I wanna stand tall I wanna be
The best person that I could be
Yeah, you can guarantee
We'll fly and become free

The moon explodes on the widescreen LEDs, and explodes orange, red and yellow colours in a comic-style. The whole arena bursts out in these colours. Traditional jazz patterns start popping into the LEDs and laser beams surround Penny and Gotcha, trapping them like a prison cell.

The camera shows a extreme close up of Penny’s face, through the laser beams. The camera then cuts to Junior and David, who do the exact face Penny made. Confident, ready, cheeky, very similar to the smirking emoji. The shots sharpen right to the face, focusing on it with cinematic black bars like this, but they close in more in the shot, focusing right in to Penny Junior and David focusing only on their emotions. Then the second chorus.

I know it's hard just to ignore
But if you do you'll be better and more!

The arena once again bursts with colour, the audience cheering very loudly as the chorus hits. All the fun in Chiton, Beepee the world could emit from this arena, the performance, this event tonight. Pyrotechnics run wild and burst endless rounds of sparks, fireworks and fire. The LEDs burst with colour once again, little patterns of Saint Monkey’s culture, and this time the colours mix around the stage like the style of the Saint Monkeyian postcard, with little splashes of paint on the LEDs. The little haze returns, and on the widescreen at the back, a large neon sun rises.

The camera has a medium shot showing that Junior is back on the Sax as David jumps back on lyrics. His voice lights up the arena, smiling on every letter. The camera then cuts to a quick drone shot flying over the crowd towards Penny and Gotcha then a medium shot of them. Penny and Gotcha were stuck in the laser beams, however, Penny throws Gotcha up in the air and he kicks out. The laser beams flash on and off, and when they’re off Gotcha and Penny run out, the camera following them. They form beside Jazz Box and begin dancing. The camera then cuts to a long shot of the whole arena, immersing you in the atmosphere and the happiness coming from the EcoDome.

Oh How Mighty, tryna put me down
Wow so mighty, they're just a fool, a clown
I'll start a party, whilst they'll be low
Oh so below, and we will rise up far beyond the clouds

When David sings out “Clouds” a rocket appears on the LEDs, and take off, and the LEDs fly up to uncover a more relaxing mood in the performance. The rest of the stage turns to a white, soothing atmosphere. Penny and Gotcha are clapping, as a rail Cam shot at the end of the T-section shows. Junior and David run towards the edge of the Rhombus section of the stage. They both pick up their saxophones, and give a 3 second countdown with their fingers. The camera moves between an extreme close up of their fingers, and a medium shot of their saxophones and massive smiles on their face… they take a deep breath ready for the massive solo next.

How-how-mighty, how-mighty, How-how-mighty, you know it
How-how-mighty, mighty and they hit the ground

There then, the rest of the stage darkens, and two orange spotlights shine on Junior and David. A pause from the crowd as they get goosebumps from the sounds of Jazz, the whole stop, just one thing they’ll be watching now. They play the instrument that formed this band, the instrument that formed their life for the last 23 years. The sax got them here. If it weren’t for the sax, Junior or David wouldn’t have a wife or kids. They wouldn’t be standing here. The crowd get their neon bracelets up and wave them intensely. The orange spotlight bounces with light. They slide on their knees and play, a massive roar coming from the crowd.

The camera pans around the arena, then cuts to a close up of David, then Junior. Then a cut to a long shot from behind, and a bird’s eye shot from above flying down into the light. Then an extreme close up of Junior then David playing their hearts out, it zooms right in on the mouthpiece of the sax, and then zooms out and changes back to a long shot. The whole world is watching, millions from home, 30,000 here, and Jazz Box are just simply vibing.

Then towards the end of the solo, David drops his sax to get ready for the next vocal section, and the orange, red and yellow lighting fades back in, emitting from the spotlight and going out. The little patterns return to the widescreen LED, and the arena was filled with light, and all the fun and life from before. The crowd, jumping up and down with a massive smile on their faces.

Then the shot changes to the band, the trumpet player jumping off the stand. As the light faded back in, there was a rail Cam shot of Gotcha and Penny running towards Junior and David. They slid each side of them, as they ran, the pyrotechnics followed them, fire spewing out each and every one they passed. When Gotcha got up from the slide he did a backflip, getting a massive cheer from the crowd.

[SAX SOLO]

For the chorus, the mood remained the same. fun and full of life. The pyrotechnics ran riot and didn’t stop bursting fire. The lighting was bouncing to the song, and the LEDs were changing colour rampantly, a lot like this from 1:36-2:40, except there was the general colour scheme of this performance, yellow, red and orange, and the centrepiece was the neon sun which returned from earlier on in the performance. Inside the squares moving, traditional jazz patterns were blurred into it. The crowd, the arena, WorldVision is all together now.

The main shot was from the T-Section of the stage, as Junior and David strode towards the camera, with confidence, and a massive grin on both their faces. David and Junior both straightened their suits when walking down. The camera also cut to Penny throwing her Fedora into the crowd and then back to the Saint Monkeyian group waving their flags about and cheering. The arena was still full of energy and kept jumping up and down, just as the LED lights do.

Oh How Mighty, tryna put me down
Wow so mighty, they're just a fool, a clown
Don't bother looking, cause I'll be outside
I’ll be cookin', they should know how great it is to be alive!

As the song nearly finishes the staging doesn’t stop. The LEDs lights create a ripple of light each time the pyrotechnics go off, bursting out all the colours in the light spectrum. The curved widescreen at the back goes back to the art style from earlier in the performance, a sax, floating through space. The lyrics come up on the back screen at this point too.

The camera cuts to this screen and then the Trumpet player running out towards Junior and David. Then a birds-eye shot comes down and pans through the whole stage, capturing the fun and the energy in the performance. As the camera passes a pyrotechnic machine they burst out with fireworks., which surround the camera. It changes to a long shot of David, Junior and the Trumpet Player.

How-how-mighty, how-mighty, How-how-mighty, they're so weak
How-how-mighty, mighty and they hit the ground

The LEDs stay the same, but continue moving about. Pyrotechnics continue filling the arena with energy. But this time something is different. The crowd is singing along ”How-how-mighty, How-how-mighty”. Junior and David feel goosebumps. Their song is being sung by thousands, all you can hear is the crowd singing, ”How-how Mighty”. David and Junior feel their heart warm. This is incredible, all together now... Meanwhile the camera cuts between a long shot of David, Junior, Gotcha, Penny and the Trumpet player and drone shots panning across the arena. Everyone on stage is bouncing and dancing, making the most of the last seconds on stage.

How-how-mighty, How-how-mighty, How-how-mighty, mighty and they hit the ground

The curtain returns and is pulled up at the front of the stage. The floor LEDs transition to 3 equal lines of red, yellow and orange. The pyrotechnics burst out one last time, the camera zoomed out so you can see the whole stage. The lights transitioned to be very bright and rise up as David and Junior in tandem shouted “YAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!”. They had done it!

YAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!! (Oh Yeah!)

The lights turned back onto the default settings, and the stage crew had already run onto the stage to move over the curtains from the performance. However, the team weren’t paying attention. The crowd became cheering, so loud if your were in Saint Monkey you'd think it is an earthquake. It took a while to sink in, but smiles planted on the teams faces. Penny, Gotcha, David, Junior and the instrument players; Paula Kish, Darius Khan and Bea Cabral all ran towards each other and high fived each other. Penny and Gotcha hugged. David and Junior looked at each other, and thought the same thing, “What the HELL?!” and high fived and hugged. Junior riffed “Thank you for being a friend” on the sax. David then played a long note on the sax. It looked that the stage director wanted to usher them off the stage so amid the deafening sound of cheering, David and Junior shouted:

Chiton you're the best of the best! Thank you Beepee! Thank you everybody! WOOOOOO!!!!!

Penny air kissed to the crowd, and Gotcha screamed "WOOOOOO". The trumpet player also did a quick riff, and then they all ran off stage before security would pick them up. They headed back to the green room mega proud. The Crustyland Soccer Fan Choir would be up next, and David and Junior shouted to Quan Neilsoen and Charles Wadgeofchese to "Show Beepee what you've got!" on the way back to the green room. Beepee would love this, and they've already been here before so they'll be absolutely fine. Then MCG up afterwards, oh my gosh, the night had just begun.

"Well done daddy!!!!" Alexa said, David's 7 year old daughter, as she went in to hug him. "Dad, great job." said Tom, David's 12 year old, who turns 13 in just 2 weeks. Junior's 14 year old daughter was stopped on her tracks. She'd been having problems with bullying recently, and was scrolling through her phone, seeing the bad messages she'd been sent. But the performance changed her. She smiled, and hugged her dad, Junior, "I love you, you're the best!!!"

The team sat back in their sofa, which were surprisingly comfy. Maria, Junior's wife, came with some drinks and popcorn for everyone. Sofia, David's wife went around the other entries giving them some homemade snacks from Saint Monkey, which they all loved. They watched the rest of the entries with awe. Malta shook the Arena once again, and everyone went crazy for Until Daylight, Beepee's entry. Junior and David really enjoyed the Alezian act, as they'd worked on very experimental EDM too before, and it is good to see it being included. They knew this would do well with the Saint Monkeyian public. They hugged Eleanora as she headed to the stage, happy that she is performing, after withdrawing from the last edition in Saint Monkey. Junior and David loved that night too, but actually part of the competing entries, it was a much different feeling.

During the intervals, they headed around the green room, getting to know the acts a bit more, and making new friends. Junior even discussed a collaboration between one other artist. It would be pretty cool. They also headed out to the crowd, to sign some autographs and have fun with the crowd. They never stopped all night, and Jazz Box knew that these guys are the heroes, and they make all of this happen. The competition, the winners and the future music stars. If it weren't for them, many artists wouldn't be where they are now without WorldVision. The graphic on the most number of wins for each country just gave it away. Over 100 people's lives had been changed due to this contest. Even those who don't win, could go home being very big, meaning they could follow their dreams.

They indulged the rest of the hours in dancing, doing song requests on the sax, and of course the conga line in the green room. For a lot of the contest, they forgot that they were competing against all these great people. They would shed a tear, and share a hug in the voting period soon, this is family, the WorldVision family.

They didn't let down the excitement and energy. Soon enough however, it was time for voting. Junior and David got their phones up, and put in their votes, as did the rest of the team. This was it. They felt a bit of sadness as their WorldVision experience would be coming to an end. When voting closed, they done everything they could, and the results were sealed. They waited tensely to see where they got. Would it flop? Or could Saint Monkey get their best result yet?
