The song comes off only her second studio album, Fearless, which was released in 2008. The track takes a cue from the classic Shakespeare play, Romeo and Juliet, in the story of a romance between a young boy and a young girl that their friends and family do not approve of. Luckily, Swift chooses a more romantic ending for the story than Shakespeare’s version.
